On 26/11/2012 was gazzetted the Administrative Regulation 26/2012, which approves the regulatory environment for the supply and requirements of gaming machines, gaming equipments and sytems. Such regulation has entered into force on 27/11/2012 and after the 01/01/2013 the gaming equipment suppliers are allowed to sell only the gaming equipments approved in accordance with such regulation.

On 19/11/2012, Macau Legislative Assembly has approved, in general terms, a proposal setting the fundamental rules for the jurisdiction of Macau SAR over the area leased to Macau SAR on Hengqin Island destined for the new Macau University Campus. The project is now for detailed discussion and separate voting by the Legislative Assembly 1st Permanent Committee.

By award for unification of the case law, granted on the 14^th of November of 2012, in proceedings number 57/2012, the Court of Final Appeal has decided that the deadline for submission of a judicial appeal against an invalid act is suspended at the time the appellant presents a request for the appointment of an attorney, under the legal aid regime, and resumes from the notice of the Court’s decision, with no destruction of the period elapsed since the notice or publication of the administrative act.

On 12/11/2012 was gazzeted Law 16/2012 which shall regulate the real estate brokerage activity. Such Law shall enter into force on 01/07/2013 save as for articles 41 and 42 which shall enter into force, on the 01/01/2013 and 13/11/2012, respectively. Such Law aims to regulate the licensing and exercise of the real estate brokerage activity in Macau.

By the Award granted on the 8th of November 2012 in proceedings number 648/2012, the Court of Second Instance has decided that the clause that prohibits relatives of the casinos’ employees to gamble in the same casinos where the latter provide services it is not null.
